The white thobe, a dress that embodies purity

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised us to wear white clothes because they are the best clothes. Furthermore, he informed us that it is the purest clothing and he ordered us to cover it with the dead.

Moreover, in the famous hadith of Djibril, Umar Ibn Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, informed us that the archangel was adorned with white clothes. The scholars have used this story to justify the fact that the student of Science should prefer white clothes when he wants to go to a sitting with the ulama.
