The tunic was long, loose and open on the sides. Unlike the Algerian jabador, this outfit was also very popular with women.

It differed a lot between the city and the countryside and underwent many influences, especially from the 19th century. Indeed, the intensification of the exchanges with the foreigner made undergo to the traditional jabador the influence of the fashion.
